In my undying effort to break my poor work ethic, I am starting with something small, and I’m going to attempt to put a daily blog post into my everyday routine. I’ve read that it takes about 28 times of repeating something to create a habit, so I’m going to dedicate myself to doing a blog post, everyday for 30 days, and instilling a simple habit, of posting. Sure, a worthless habit, but it proves I can create a habit…and hopefully help me break my shitty habits. but..if I make 30 habits, does that mean I’ll make a habit of making a habit? Well, we’ll see.
So, its day number one…what have I accomplished? Not to much. I’m working all day, and headed out to see Jack Johnson…however, I did manage to fix my sidebar, adding my networks, my websites, and just cleaning it up.
Yesterday, I wrote up a little guide for an idea I had to run a game of ‘Assassin‘ and managing it with Twitter, and cell phones. Haven’t actually tested it, but I’m going to get a few friends together to see how it works, and I’ll update it as I figure out more. (The game is called ‘Last Man Standing’ to keep the school happy, they don’t much like ‘Assassin’
So, lets stick with this…I’ll see you tomorrow..and hopefully with something more interesting I’ve accomplished!

Something about the last couple days has been fantastic. My sites look good, I’ve enjoyed writing on them recently. I’ve been working on some posts that I am really happy with, some fun stuff. I have a friend of mine writing awesome content over on Champion Labs, and I’m almost done with Media Research.
I’ve had the pleasure of working on a custom theme for a friend for his Wordpress blog. I was given a design in html and CSS, and I’ve been working on turning it into one of the coolest themes I have seen. I even got to code some dynamic PHP to make header background colors change every post. It has inspired me to attempt to create new designs for all of my sites, but I just don’t have that kind of time. However, I think we can all agree, The Low Tech’s theme is a bit stale.
I’m becoming obsessed with journalism, just because of blogging. I look at every event as an opportunity for fresh content. While it might seem like I forget to enjoy said events to worry about writing, I feel I dissect the event, and take it in more then I would have other wise. I feel like if I don’t get home (or not) at night with out something worth while to blog about, I have wasted the day. Lame as that is, I think it helps me really carpe diem.
Needless to say, everything has been looking good. I have a good weekend coming up, and I can’t wait for the future.

After a long break from my blog after it being corrupted by spam robots, I am back. I’m really intending on keeping this attempt very current with all the interesting projects and such. I wanted to recap my hiatus. It involved a lot of kiting, some fun meetings with Make Philly, lots of reading, and new experiments.
First off, montage time!

Kiting in beautiful North Wildwood. Thats Joe, he makes some awesome videos with that little PVC tripod you see.

Some awesome Make: Philly Meetings.

I had a beautiful summer. Met some amazing people, learned some awesome stuff, and found sweet places.

Did even more kiting inland, on the airstrip at Warminster Community Park
I’m really excited about the new Make Philly side show, The Hacktory. They have an amazing location, and some high aspirations for creating their own machine shop. Needless to say, I’m on board!
Project wise, work has slowed with school, work, and my dangerous addiction to kiting. My Mame Cabinet (new page under construction) is in shambles after a accident. (a long story, I promise.) Not sure if I will be finishing it up or not. Right now, a few things on my radar:
- Kitesurfing board. Been planning this for awhile, just need to do it already.
- Kite Buggy. This project will be an awesome opportunity to learn to weld. Just need to save up for the equipment.
- Electronic Music Circuits. I’ve always been interested, but never got around to really doing it. Thinking about building a Atari Punk Console.
- ‘Speedboard’. My custom idea that is only currently in my head. Using long board trucks and tires mounted to an old snowboard. Perfect for cruising along the airstrip with my kite.
- Homemade Boat…of some sort. After finding the amazing little lake 20 minutes down the road, I only wished I had a boat to go sailing on.
I notice that kiting has taken over most of my mindset…I just have to much fun with it. Just wish I could afford it! In order to supply extra funds, I’ve decided to dive into the interesting field of eBay. Currently trying out buying from thrift stores, and reselling on eBay. I’m keeping track of everything in a live Google Spreadsheet, so if anyone wants to watch it grow, shoot me an email.
I’m really excited for this upcoming year. There are some awesome events planned, some awesome projects, and I’m simply dying to see whats in store. I’ll be sure to post some awesome pictures from the snow kiting adventures coming up, and some awesome articles about my experiments..failed or not.
I promise to keep the readers entertained. Subscribe to the RSS, you won’t be let down!
